Come meet us at the Association of State Floodplain Managers 2015 Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia

Several experts from DHI United States (DHI US) will be present at the conference from May 31 to June 5, 2015.

DHI US will host an exhibition booth at the 39th Annual Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) Conference. As part of the conference, we will also provide training in the use of flood forecasting and warning using our Decision Support System on May 31st.

The ASFPM conference is the world's largest and most comprehensive related to floodplain management. The theme for the 2015 conference, which will take place from May 31 to June 5, 2015, is mitigation. Defined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as the effort to reduce loss of life and property by lessening the impact of disasters, mitigation requires taking action now to reduce the human and financial consequences of flooding later.

Mitigation efforts include analyzing, reducing and insuring against risk. Effective mitigation requires an understanding of local risks, addressing the hard choices and investing in long-term community well-being. Without mitigation actions, we jeopardize our safety, financial security and self-reliance.

We are pleased to be part of this conference. Stop by our exhibition booth and talk to our representatives to learn more about our work in flood forecasting and flood early warning systems – we look forward to sharing our latest DHI software and solutions with you.
