Som et led i årets program for Womens’ Water Fund 2013 kunne vi byde vi otte kvinder fra 6 forskellige udviklingslande velkommen til vores hovedkvarter i Hørsholm den 16. september 2013.
De otte kvinder arbejder i vandsektoren i deres hjemlande, og fonden har til formål at afhjælpe den manglende repræsentation af kvinder på ledelsesposter indenfor i vandressourceudvikling og -forvaltning. Udenrigsministeriet (Danida) er en co-sponsor for dette års fond.
Fonden er åben for kvinder i mellemlederstillinger, og den har til hensigt at hjælpe dem videre til mere fremtrædende placeringer i ledelsen af deres organisationer. Under opholdet på DHI deltager de i karriere-udviklings- og ledelseskurser og kommer på inspirationsbesøg hos danske virksomheder. Kvinderne deltager også i et ugelangt praktikforløb efter fulgt af et et-årigt mentorprogram hos danske virksomheder indenfor vandsektoren.
