Manual of Internal Quality Control in Environmental Laboratories

DHI’s manual of Internal Quality Control for Environmental Laboratories (English version) is again available.

The manual, which appeared in the first Danish edition in 1987, was extensively revised in 1995 and is now available in an updated version. The manual is used by most Danish laboratories and many laboratories in other countries as the basis for internal quality control.

All steps of internal quality control are covered:

• Background for quality control
• Planning of samples, concentrations, frequency and control charts
• Construction of control charts
• Detection of out-of-control situations
• Statistical applications needed to extract performance characteristics from internal quality control data.

The information is explained extensively in several worked examples.
