Copenhagen Energy selects MIKE NET as modelling Tool for the Water Distribution Network

After a thorough evaluation of different modelling tools Copenhagen Energy has decided to replace their former modelling tools with MIKE NET, and has now startet the development of models for the water distribution network for the City of Copenhagen. The building of the models has already been initiated. The process is expected to last 2-3 years. In the final system, the models will cover the entire city at two levels of details: - A strategic model for the entire city including transport pipes from the water works, which are situated 20-30 kilometers outside the city. - Detailed models for the distribution network in the city. The models will eventually be linked directly to monitored data through a central SCADA-system, thus allowing the calibration of the models to be maintained automatically and at the same time making selected results from the models available in the SCADA system along with the measured data. When fully established, this will greatly enhance the amount and quality of information available to the system operators.
