DHI hosts Thai delegate in study tour to experience 'Green Technology'

A delegation of 50 representatives from the Royal Thai Army College and other Thai agencies visited DHI on 19 March as part of a study tour to the Nordic countries.

The visit was a result of the work DHI has done in Thailand, where we have been working on flood forecasting and decision systems since 2012. © DHI

The purpose of the visit was to experience Denmark as one of the leading countries in the world on ‘Green Technology’. DHI was selected by the Thai Embassy as the only Danish company to visit during their stay.

Following a major flood in Thailand In 2011, DHI was tasked by the Thai government to lead the development of a state of the art flood forecasting and warning system for the greater Chao Phraya basin.

After the successful completion of this project, we continued to work in Thailand and have now developed flood forecasting systems for the entire nation. The main part of the projects were completed in collaboration with the Hydro and Agro Informatics Institute in Thailand – a trusted partner and experienced user of MIKE modelling and MIKE OPERATIONS software.
