DHI attending the Green Growth & Sustainable Cities Roundtable in New York

Jesper Kjelds, Group Vice President Urban Water, will be participating in a high-level roundtable discussion in New York, United States on 5 May 2015.

Held on 5 May 2015, the Green Growth & Sustainable Cities Roundtable will be attended by the political leadership of Copenhagen, headed by the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, the City of New York, and companies from both Copenhagen and New York.

The event—organised jointly by Danish Cleantech Hub, Urban Future Lab and NYC Economic Development Corporation—provides a platform in which the cities of Copenhagen and New York can work towards the common goals of developing green growth and sustainable cities. The theme of discussion at the roundtable will focus on the importance of public-private dialogue and collaboration in achieving these goals.

Jesper Kjelds, Group Vice President Urban Water, has been invited to represent DHI at the event, and will speak on the DHI approach to climate change adaptation in urban environments. He will focus specifically on the integrated real time predictive control and operations of urban water infrastructure as it offers tremendous potential for realising direct economic benefits and significant environmental improvements. The benefits of integrated control, aggregated across the urban water cycle, provides a cornerstone for the overall effort in building resilient and liveable cities for the future.

The Green Growth & Sustainable Cities Roundtable is by invitation only, and will take place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
