FEFLOW and FePEST training in Peru

35 participants from mining companies and environmental consultancies in Peru attended an eight-day comprehensive FEFLOW and FePEST course. The course was held in the DHI Peru office on 9-17 December 2014.

The training was divided in two parts. The first part – ‘Introduction and advanced topics in groundwater modelling using FEFLOW’ – was completed in five days, and included topics such as FEFLOW 6.2 usage and hints, unsaturated flow, density-dependent flow, fracture flow and chemical reactions.

The second part – ‘Model calibration, uncertainty analysis and predictive analysis using FePEST in FEFLOW 6.2’ – was concluded in three days. It explained the basic PEST definitions for the understanding of the FePEST interface and gave participants an excellent practical experience of FePEST management.
